Amol Pawar

Amol Pawar received his Master degree (2006) from the Department of Physics, University of Pune, India. From 2007 to 2009, he was employed by Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (CMET), Pune, India. He has two years research experience at CMET on the field of Large-scale generation of Metals, Metal Oxides, Metal Nitrides by Transferred Arc Thermal Plasma Reactor. In early 2009, he joined Chemistry Department at Sogang University to obtain his Doctoral degree under the guidance of Prof. Kang. During his PhD, he worked on two individual projects. In his early PhD time, he was working on wavelength conversion materials for greenhouse effect and after that he started to work on artificial photosynthesis using semiconductor material based photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting and CO2 reduction. In year 2016, he got his PhD degree and afterwards he joined postdoctoral fellowship in a same lab. Currently he is working on PEC CO2 reduction and methanol production by considering several parameters such as multi electron transfer, CO2 capture, conduction band energy tuning etc.
